Patients Combined Data for Research
|
This screen permits you to make those groupings.
First you may select on age by entering a 'Date of Birth'
window.
You may select Diabetes Type as Type I, Type II,
Hypoglycemic, or combinations of these, as well as the
'Other' category.
Then you may choose 'Male', 'Female', or 'Other'
gender, or combinations of these.
These choices were entered by the patients on their
'Record Owner Odentification' and 'Record Owner Fixed
Physical Data' menu selection under 'Owner' menu
selection on their individual copies of 'Single user Level'
and entered your system via their IMPORTS or use of
'Internet Data Storage'.
After making these choices, a list of your patient's names
that satisfy these choices will be presented to you. You
may accept 'All' of these patients as your group, or delete
the names you don't want.
The group of your patients is now determined.
Next you may set some 'Filters' on the BGLs of these
patients that you want to select. You may set a range on
the BGL values themselves, or a range of the dates of
entry or time of entry of the BGLs, or look at certain
'Seasons' by choosing months of the year, or also restrict
to certain days of the week.
The data is then combined into one large working file.
After the data is combined, you may EXPORT the working
file into a text file that may easily be IMPORTED into
statistical programs such as MS-EXCEL, or you may view
the combined data as a 'Modal Day Graph' or 'Pie
Graph'..
For you own research you may wish to combine the Blood Glucose Levels (BGLs) data of
certain of your patients.
