Level Healthware is my own creation. Whatever faults and shortcomings
it has are my sole responsibility.
The original LEVEL was written in 1992 and released to critical acclaim
but marketing was not much.
I spent the next 10 years teaching in Asia. Then in 2003 I was diagnosed
with asthma, an affliction similar to Diabetes in that it can be controlled
but not cured. I needed to discover my 'asthma triggers'. Suddenly I
needed LEVEL for myself ( I do not have Diabetes.) I took it off the shelf
and dusted it off. I realized two more graphs were needed 'Line Graph
with events and numerics', and 'Correlation Graph.' They were quickly
added and LEVEL was re released in 2007. I got my asthma under
control and I intend to keep it that way. I hope you have the same result
with your Diabetes. My reward and satisfaction will be if LEVEL aids you
in any way to do that.

Sincerely,
LEVEL was extensively field tested in 2007
in Baguio City, Philippines, where I was
then living, while working with the
Diabetes Club X at the Saint Louis
University Hospital of the Sacred Heart. As
a result of that interaction, it was realized
that the Patient's Genetic Affliction History,
the Patient's Fixed Physical Data, and the
Internet Data Storage features were
needed and they were added.
Also the extreme need for cost free Blood
Glucose Testing by peoples in developing
countries was seen to be an urgent
shortcoming. The Color Vision Test and
Tingling Test were created in an effort to
address that need but the results are not
yet satisfactory.

these tragedies are linked directly to
the economic inability of Diabetics in
developing countries to buy Western

This is being done in a Manila Hyatt Hotel suite, paid for by a
major US pharmaceutical firm, which asks in return that their
products (which are quite good) be prescribed by Doctors.
Filipino Doctors grudgingly ( not all of them grudgingly )
accept such arrangements as the pharmaceutical
companies throw in a modicum of free Diabetes Testing
supplies which is the only way Diabetes Club patients get
any testing at all. It sounds like a win-win situation, EXCEPT
every year the pharmaceutical companies post record profits
while Filipino Diabetics have their legs cut off because they
can't afford the medication prices.
Engineer Luder Zarate stays excited creating new
electronic devices, especially for unsolved medical
problems. This is his contribution towards the
imperative need for a cost free Blood Glucose Testing
procedure in developing countries. It tests for a
decreased awareness of a small, harmless voltage
applied across the wrist pulse artery as Blood Glucose
Level rises. Results are being compiled. Luder is a
pre-Diabetic.
